We have three full time pastors who serve along with three lay elders. Our three pastors are:
Pastor Bruce Ebersole
Although he is originally from New Jersey, Bruce Ebersole spent much of his childhood in Manila, Philippines. His Sunday morning sermons are frequently littered with poignant stories drawn from his rich family history on the mission field.
Bruce earned his undergraduate degree from Northeastern Bible College, and has completed post-graduate work at Drew University. He remains an active and passionate reader, and is particularly thankful for the writings of Augustine, Calvin, Samuel Johnson, G.K. Chesterton, J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Wendell Berry, John Piper, Tim Keller, and Alan Jacobs, among many others. He especially enjoys reading aloud to his wife of 26 years, Sharon, and their five children.
When he is not counseling or eloquently imparting his “Shed Thoughts” to others, Bruce enjoys Thai food, any sort of road trip, listening to music (especially jazz piano), most sports, Manhattan, being with family and friends, and splitting wood.
Pastor George Moussab
George Moussab comes to CTK by way of electrical engineering and homeless ministry. He holds an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from Rutgers University, but made a vocational change mid-career when he chose to serve as the Program Director of Market Street Mission. George served at the Mission until 2001 when he took on a pastoral role at a newly founded church, Christ the King Church of Denville. He has since earned his degree from Biblical Theological Seminary.
Despite many unanticipated turns in his vocation, music has always been a constant passion. On any given Sunday, you can find George leading CTK’s congregation in worship, or as he puts it, “musically ascribing to God the worth that is already His.”
Pastor Jim MacLean
Born in Grenoble, France, Jim MacLean lived all over the world before settling in Denville, NJ with his wife, Wendy, and their three beautiful children whose adorable antics frequently find their way into his sermons. Jim attended the United States Military Academy in West Point, NY, and earned his undergraduate degree in Mathematics from Liberty University. He is currently taking seminary courses with New York Divinity School.
Jim oversees CTK’s youth ministry which pairs his passion for seeing young people grow closer to Christ with his love for staying active. Jim is an avid soccer player, and loves volleyball, snowboarding, and traveling. He is also quite a talented whistler. Come to the next CTK Christmas party, and see for yourself!
